Our most popular camping itinerary covers every major park in northern Tanzania. Two full days of game drives in the Serengeti, Tarangire's ancient baobab landscape, a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, and a morning at Lake Manyara with its tree-climbing lions and flamingos.
Camp under the African stars at public campsites and the famous Simba Campsite on the Ngorongoro Crater rim. All camping equipment, meals, park fees, and a private 4x4 Land Cruiser with pop-up roof are included.
Depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. Afternoon game drive through ancient baobab landscapes searching for elephant herds. Camp overnight at a public campsite near Tarangire.
Drive from Tarangire to the Serengeti. Enter the park for afternoon game drives across the vast plains. Lions, hyenas, cheetahs, giraffes, and zebras. Camp overnight at a public campsite in the Serengeti.
Extended game viewing with packed lunch. Search for predator sightings and large herbivore herds. Seasonal migration movements possible depending on the time of year. Camp overnight at a public campsite in the Serengeti.
Final morning game drive in the Serengeti. En route safari with lunch as you travel towards Ngorongoro. Scenic highland viewpoints along the way. Camp overnight at Simba Campsite on the Ngorongoro Crater rim.
Early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. Game drive on the crater floor with lions, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and rare black rhinos. Picnic lunch inside the crater. Continue to the Mto wa Mbu area in the afternoon. Camp overnight at a public campsite near Mto wa Mbu.
Morning game drive through Lake Manyara's groundwater forest and along the alkaline lake. Search for tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and flamingos. Return to Arusha in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
