We recommend 3 to 6 months in advance, especially for peak season (June to October) and Migration safaris. Luxury lodges book out quickly during high season. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible depending on availability.

Most nationalities need a visa. You can apply online for an e-visa before travel or get a visa on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A single-entry tourist visa costs approximately $50 USD. Check your country's requirements before travelling.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and baggage loss. This is especially important for Kilimanjaro treks. Travel insurance is not included in any of our packages.

US dollars are widely accepted for tourist services. Bring clean, undamaged bills dated 2006 or later. Tanzanian shillings are best for local markets. ATMs are available in Arusha and major towns. Credit cards work at most lodges but not in rural areas or parks.

60+ days before arrival: deposit refund minus admin costs. 59 to 30 days: 50% of deposit forfeited. 29 to 7 days: 75% forfeited. Under 7 days or no-show: 100% forfeited. We offer 100% flexibility on date changes when possible.
