After a leisurely breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park (approximately 2.5 hours). Your first game drive takes you through landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and wide savannah. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen in groups of 50 or more. Afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River. Depart Tarangire and drive to the Serengeti via the scenic highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscape transitions from farmland to forest to the vast open plains. A full day of game driving across the Serengeti with a packed gourmet lunch. Follow predators and herbivores across the vast plains. A second full day dedicated to exploring additional areas of the Serengeti. With three nights in the park, you have the time to venture further afield, visiting the kopjes, river crossings, and hidden valleys that shorter safaris miss. Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travel through the cooler highland landscapes to the crater rim. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning for a half day of game driving on the crater floor. The crater is home to approximately 25,000 large animals including lions, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, and the endangered black rhino. After breakfast, enter Lake Manyara National Park for a final game drive through its remarkably varied habitats. The park features groundwater forest, open grasslands, and the soda lake, supporting diverse wildlife including elephants, hippos, tree-climbing lions, and rich birdlife.
